2014 Angela Estate Pinot Noir
The 2014 vintage was marked by a unique, three-week early bud break which allowed for incredibly long growing conditions, long warm days and cool nights. The 2014 vintage was nearly double the crop load as expected. The wines of this vintage have very developed phenolics, tannin and medium acidity. The vineyard sits on ancient marine sedimentary soils that lend blacker fruit, coarser tannin and a curvy mouthfeel to the wine. We planted softer Pinot noir clones of Wadenswil, Dijon 777 and 115 to harness the power and structure.
