Flavor Profile: Ripe red currant and raspberry, cherry cola flavors. Aromas of rich mushroom and white truffle overlay sarsaparilla, sweet cedar and pipe tobacco.
Angela Estate clearly achieves consistency with its second release of the Abbott Claim Pinot Noir from the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. The 2013 adds compliment to the 2012 as a gold-medal winner with this Pinot noir with red-toned cherry aromas, spice and cedar. Bright red Bing cherry flavors enhanced by a bit of red raspberry, abundant acidity, silky tannins and a lengthy finish.
Planted in 2001 by the Ken Wright team, this 16-acre vineyard holds court above Angela Estate vineyard. The elevation ranges from 410 - 476' on ancient, layered marine sediments. The clones on this site are Pommard, Dijon 777 & 115.
